Dr. John Dygert
Dr. John Dygert joins CMCI and FCHC

Citizens Medical Center, Inc. in Colby is excited to announce that Dr. John Dygert, a Family Practice Physician, will begin practicing at Family Center for Health Care the first of August 2012. Dr. Dygert will be joining the staff of Family Center for Health Care and will be providing services to all ages. Kevan Trenkle, Citizens Medical Center CEO, explains, “We are extremely pleased to recruit such a highly trained physician and a very personable individual. Dr. Dygert’s signing is just one more step towards insuring that the residents of our community and Northwest Kansas have access to quality physician services for many years to come.”
Dr. Dygert received his undergraduate degree in biology with a chemistry minor, and attended medical school at KCUMB in Kansas City, MO. For the past 2 ½ years, Dr. Dygert has been training at his Family Practice residency in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He will be fully trained in all aspects of Family Practice along with obstetrics and c-sections. He and his wife, Jilinda, are anxious to be closer to home and have their children spend more quality time with their grandparents. Both Dr. Dygert (Woodland Park, Co) and Jilinda (Beloit, Ks ) grew up in small towns and look forward to raising their children in that environment.
Dr. Dygert told us, “Good health is an important part of having a great life. I love helping people achieve good health, so they can move on and enjoy life to the fullest. I have special interests in obstetrics, preventative medicine, and treatment of back pain, neck pain, and headaches. I also really emphasize the importance of proper end-of-life care.”
“After meeting and getting to know Dr. Dygert, it is very clear that he will be an exceptional fit for Colby and the northwest Kansas region,” said Scott Focke, Family Center for Health Care Clinic Manager. Dr Dygert agrees. “I’m excited to be joining a great group of excellent physicians, PAs, NPs, and clinic and office staff. See you all this summer.”
